Compare the2027 Audi RS Q8 VS 2027 Bentley Bentayga

In a Vehicle-to-Vehicle Frontal Crash Prevention 2.0 test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Audi RS Q8 achieved a “Acceptable” rating - the second highest possible - for its performance in forward collision warning and automatic braking systems, demonstrating its excellent capabilities in preventing collisions. The Bentley Bentayga has not been tested.

The RS Q8 has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

The RS Q8’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the RS Q8 and the Bentayga have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all-wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and available night vision systems.

The RS Q8 comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Bentayga’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The RS Q8’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the Bentayga’s (12 vs. 3 years).

Audi pays for scheduled maintenance on the RS Q8 for 3 years and 30,000 miles. Audi will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 3 visits). Bentley doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Bentayga.

There are almost 6 times as many Audi dealers as there are Bentley dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the RS Q8’s warranty.

The RS Q8’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 175 more horsepower (631 vs. 456) and 111 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 516) than the Bentayga Hybrid’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid. The RS Q8’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 89 more horsepower (631 vs. 542) and 59 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 568) than the Bentayga’s standard 4.0 turbo V8.

The RS Q8 has 2.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the Bentayga Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (22.5 vs. 19.8 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the RS Q8’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the Bentayga:

For better traction, the RS Q8 has larger tires than the Bentayga (295/40R22 vs. 285/45R21).

The RS Q8’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Bentayga’s standard 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the RS Q8 has standard 22-inch wheels. Smaller 21-inch wheels are standard on the Bentayga.

The RS Q8 handles at .98 G’s, while the Bentayga pulls only .78 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The RS Q8 is 4.1 inches shorter than the Bentayga, making the RS Q8 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The RS Q8 has a much larger cargo volume than the Bentayga with its rear seat up (33 vs. 17.1 cubic feet).

The RS Q8’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Bentayga w/Four Seat Comfort Specification doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

The RS Q8’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Bentayga’s (7700 vs. 0 pounds).

While the Bentayga Hybrid is not recommended to tow, any RS Q8 can tow a minimum of 7700 pounds.

If the windows are left open on the RS Q8 the driver can close all of them at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Bentayga can’t use the remote to operate the windows.

Laser headlights, standard on the RS Q8, produce their light by firing blue lasers through phosphorus, a process that uses one-half the power of the Bentayga’s LED headlights. Laser headlights can have double the range of LEDs with a much smaller surface area.

A manual rear sunshade and power rear side window sunshades are standard in the RS Q8 to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a rear sunshade.

The Audi RS Q8 has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the rear view mirror. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Bentley charges extra for Homelink® on the Bentayga.

The Audi Q8/SQ8/RS Q8 outsold the Bentley Bentayga by over 12 to one during 2025.
